the 2.4 kernel isn't officially supported yet and ext3/reiser support in
the 2.2 kernels isn't maintained as well.

i started using reiserfs on test machines about six months ago and have
never had a problem. i've heard that ext3 is good as well.

the main reason i like reiser is that i don't have to apply kernel patches
-> which means i don't have to remove them before applying the regular
kernel upgrade patches.
