3) Description of Vulnerabilities

Secunia Research has discovered multiple vulnerabilities in Linux
Kernel, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS
(Denial of Service).

Multiple race condition errors when handling probe, disconnect, and
rebind operations can be exploited to trigger a use-after-free
condition or a NULL pointer dereference by sending multiple USB over
IP packets.

Successful exploitation requires USB over IP daemon (usbipd) to be
running.

The vulnerabilities are confirmed in versions 4.17.0-rc1 and 4.15.0
and reported in versions 4.16.x prior to 4.16.11, 4.14.x prior to
4.14.43, 4.9.x prior to 4.9.102, and 4.4.x prior to 4.4.133. Other
versions may also by affected.
