Yes, make oldconfig worked for me. I have upgraded OWL with steps in WIKI:
http://openwall.info/wiki/Owl/upgrade
Have installed kernel from sources. It`s working. But I need to add some 
options in config. And when I`m truing to make menuconfig, It does not work.
