Could you also try the latest OpenVZ kernel, which Owl-current kernel is based on: http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/kernel/rhel5-testing/028stab085.1 We use OpenVZ testing kernels to help in testing them, this might be the case :-) Also are there any suspicious entries in dmesg?
