I am not aware of a specific "secured" identd daemon, however what you should want to do is run an identd daemon of your choice as a dedicated non-root pseudo-user. If you have CONFIG_HARDEN_PROC enabled, you'll need to either enter that pseudo-user into group "proc" or add that group by means of xinetd. This has been tested and it works. -- Alexander Peslyak <solar at openwall.com> GPG key ID: B35D3598 fp: 6429 0D7E F130 C13E C929 6447 73C3 A290 B35D 3598 http://www.openwall.com - bringing security into open computing environments Was I helpful?
