This list is from a kernel older than 2.4.18.  The one in
linux-2.4.18/Documentation/Changes differs in the requirement of
gcc-2.95.3, e2fsprogs-1.25, and modutils-2.4.2 (I am only mentioning
those packages which are meant to be a part of Owl at all).  All but
the modutils are satisfied by Owl-current.

The version of modutils we do have currently (2.3.21) seems to just
work with 2.4.18 for me, though.
