Specifically, I am interested in using the --format=bitcoin hash type (e.g., hashes generated via bitcoin2john.py) with FPGA devices such as the ZTEX USB-FPGA 1.15y or other supported platforms. Could you please confirm whether the --format=bitcoin is compatible with the existing FPGA acceleration framework in John the Ripper, or if this format is currently supported only via CPU/GPU (OpenCL) backends?
