Johnny is a GUI for John the Ripper: https://openwall.info/wiki/john/johnny ByePass is a command-line wrapper for John the Ripper: https://github.com/webpwnized/byepass Johnny provides a maybe-easier way to invoke John the Ripper in basic ways for those who are uncomfortable using the command-line. ByePass maybe-helps automate non-trivial usage of John the Ripper by those who are comfortable using the command-line. "ByePass" also happens to be the name of a password manager, unrelated to the ByePass project above and to JtR. An unfortunate name clash. Alexander
