From what I could gather it performs some level of iteration of the hashes (I think of specified amount and the specified iteration value is stored with the hash along with the salt?) Does anyone know detail of how the hash is calculated or plan to develop JtR plugin? See: http://planetlotus.org/profiles/chris-whisonant_80793_bleedyellow-now-using-even-more-secure-internet-passwords-for-domino " the technical details are that your previously more secure internet password hash will be changed from something like this: (GXjwcIq8VHJyth4a/jRQ) to something like this: (HXjwcIqBO2jkvPBxJcxBnLZ0Ha30Ha3KHa30HafSeFdviILT4)" See: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27038063&aid=1 (slide 26) " -More secure salted hash v8.0.1 password verification - Hashed value of (GXjwcIq8VHJyth4a/jRQ) → -(HxjwcIqBO2jkvPBxJcxBnLZ0Ha30Ha3KHa30HafSeFdviILT4) "
