Someone pointed out a mail-client issue on my side that obscured my
point -- my apologies. Gmail has no option to disable word wrap when
composing in plain text.

Put briefly, when running with --fork, big differences in width
between the same column on different output lines -- say, between
"0g/s" and "0.02572g/s" -- can make the multi-line output quite a bit
harder to read. Aligning the columns would be a nice-to-have.

It's a pretty low priority, of course. The longer that John runs, the
more likely it is that the numbers in each column will have the same
number of digits. But the early values can be wide enough to
significantly decrease readability, and if you're running on a system
that's performing other tasks, that variation can persist.
