Many, many thanks. Review of what worked: 1. installed Fedora 17 Desktop on VM Workstation running on Win 7, 64-bit. 2. https://github.com/magnumripper/JohnTheRipper/archive/unstable-jumbo.zip downloaded zip file to /home/johnh/Downloads 3. Extracted the zip file 4. From the /src directory tried make clean linux-x86-sse2 Got some missing module errors 5. sudo yum install gcc 6. sudo yum install openssl-devel 7. make clean linux-x86-sse2 cd ../run ./pwsafe2john pwsafe.psafe3 > pwsafedump ./john pwsafedump to attempt to retrieve my forgotten password to the program Password Safe. -----Original Message----- From: Luis Santana [mailto:hacktalk@...ktalk.net] Sent: Friday, December 28, 2012 11:11 PM To: john-users@...ts.openwall.com Subject: Re: [john-users] pwsafe2john - How to use this program, preferably in Windows or in Linux if Windows is a no-go?
