Hi Erik,

I be in waiting about your version ! so thanks a lot !

Here my Bench's...

MacBook Pro 17' / I7 / SSD - OS : LION 1.7.4

************************

Your today 1.7.9 - 6 version :

new-host:run xxxx$ ./john --format=raw-md5 --test
Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [128/128 SSE2 intrinsics 12x]... DONE
Raw:	29302K c/s real, 29302K c/s virtual

new-host:run xxxxx$ ./john --format=des --test
Benchmarking: Traditional DES [128/128 BS SSE2-16]... (8xOMP) DONE
Many salts:	14340K c/s real, 1828K c/s virtual
Only one salt:	12713K c/s real, 1593K c/s virtual

*****************************
*****************************

1.7.9 - 6 = compiled by me ( with GCC 4.2.1 )

new-host:run xxxxx$ ./john --format=raw-md5 --test
Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [128/128 SSE2 intrinsics 4x]... DONE
Raw:	11722K c/s real, 11722K c/s virtual

new-host:run xxxx$ ./john --format=des --test
Benchmarking: Traditional DES [128/128 BS SSE2-16]... (8xOMP) DONE
Many salts:	6520K c/s real, 1018K c/s virtual
Only one salt:	5996K c/s real, 1001K c/s virtual

******************************
******************************

Your prévious version = 1.7.9 - 5

new-host:run xxxxx$ ./john --format=raw-md5 --test
Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [SSE2i 10x4x3]... DONE
Raw:	27313K c/s real, 27313K c/s virtual

new-host:run xxxxx$ ./john --format=des --test
Benchmarking: Traditional DES [128/128 BS SSE2-16]... (8xOMP) DONE
Many salts:	13107K c/s real, 2173K c/s virtual
Only one salt:	11730K c/s real, 2094K c/s virtual

****************

Like we can see, the one i compiled is out Vs your today one & even
from your previous one.
We allready talk about the reasons : " GCC".

An little bit more speed than the 1.7.9 - 5, so i am happy !

Thank you Erik,

Regards,

Donovan
