Subject: if you want to participate in PHDays Hash Runner challenge/contest
 then ask me

John-users team will participate in PHDays Hash Runner contest
(http://openwall.com/lists/john-users/2012/05/21/2 ). I will be a
leader of the team.

So if you want to participate as part of john-users team then ask me!

To collaborate during the contest team uses server. So you need an
user account there to participate. Ask me for that if you do not have
one.

Everyone is welcome to participate! Though there are some limitation:
- you should have some basic skills or want to get them on your own
very fast before the contest. One intention of the contest is learning
so even with minimal skill you appreciated to participate.
- we discourage usage of non-free software. If you want to participate
then forget about non-free crackers. Use only John the Ripper if in
doubt.

So if you want to participate send me a private mail with:
- preferred user name,
- public ssh key (get new key with 'ssh-keygen' command, read more on
internet about that),
- short intro about you to make me know general picture of team, also it
will help us to prepare write-up after the contest:
  - your skills: unix, john, cracking, scripting knowledge,
  - your hardware: cpu, gpu if you plan to use it,
  - what you plan to do during the contest, may be you have a
strategy, what tools and how you would use.
Do not write too much, just a few word would be enough ;-)

The contest will be started soon. At the top of http://phdays.com/ you
could find countdown timer that shows how much time is left before the
contest's begin.

Though I'd like to sleep a bit so I will answer right before the
contest. Be patient. Thanks!

Let's take the first place!

Regards,
Aleksey Cherepanov
