First, as it relates to contributed patches in general, please refer to this older posting where I had explained this in detail: http://www.openwall.com/lists/john-users/2007/03/19/4 Also relevant is this posting: http://www.openwall.com/lists/john-users/2006/03/24/11 Unfortunately, I have not been working on JtR enough since then... Now, as to Alain Espinosa's NTLM patch, it's actually fairly good and it satisfies many of my criteria - so I might make an exception for this one, although it will require some work on my part before I can possibly release this code as part of a new JtR release. JtR 1.7.2, which is still the latest official "development" release, pre-dates that patch. -- Alexander Peslyak <solar at openwall.com> GPG key ID: 5B341F15 fp: B3FB 63F4 D7A3 BCCC 6F6E FC55 A2FC 027C 5B34 1F15 http://www.openwall.com - bringing security into open computing environments -- To unsubscribe, e-mail john-users-unsubscribe@...ts.openwall.com and reply to the automated confirmation request that will be sent to you.
