You can't merely "cancel" a "request" you had posted on this mailing
list.  Instead, you should have posted a follow-up message in the same
thread, quoting some context and providing the answer to your own
question (e.g., "the wordlist rule above was correct, but I was confused
by ...")  Please do so next time.

Please remember that this mailing list exists primarily to benefit its
subscribers at large, as well as those browsing the archives.  It is not
just a place for you to request help.
