Yes.  doc/MODES says, speaking of "incremental" mode:

"... it is assumed that cracking with this mode will never terminate
because of the number of combinations being too large ... and you'll
have to interrupt it earlier ..."  Please do read the documentation:

Have you ran through some large wordlists, with word mangling rules
enabled (the --rules option), prior to going with "incremental"?  You
can use, for example, this one:

	ftp://ftp.openwall.com/pub/wordlists/all.gz

If you didn't run through a large wordlist, you can start a new session
under a new name (use --session=NAME) such that you do not have to
interrupt your "incremental" mode run or such that you can interrupt and
continue it (--restore) after you're done with wordlists.
