It turns out that ./configure mis-recognized my Power platform as 32-bit and big-endian, which is actually 64-bit and little-endian. After fixing configure.ac and rebuilding, JtR passes all 307 self-tests (including one that was previously disabled due to endianness). BTW, JtR runs really fast on Power. Lei
