'©' in UTF-8 is 0xc2 0xa9, strip bit 8 and it becomes 0x42 0x29 == "B)". I would think a router console can support 8-bit but I'm not sure, and maybe something need to be configured. The command for enabling 8-bit on the console might be 'terminal international'. magnum
