This is the reason I did not do it at the time:
* while the speedup is huge, the cipher itself was of no direct use to
me, as the protocol is not supported in a default configuration since
Vista. On older networks the security is usually so weak you can easily
gain full privileges on each system, and dump hashes and plaintexts
* I did not figure how to do this in JtR at the time
