Before we change the format definition (for this reason or another), we
should definitely have a discussion on john-dev, so that we can collect
other ideas what might need to be enhanced.
Otherwise, we end up with a large number of incremental changes, and
even more #if FMT_MAIN_VERSION > n blocks.
Possible merge conflicts between unstable-jumbo and bleeding-jumbo are
another reason to reduce the number of formats.h revisions.
Ideally, those additions which are agreed upon should be integrated into
the core version as well.
This discussion might better be started in a new thread.
