-list=list ?   or -list=help or -list=? All seem fine.  Also, there is no
need to have just one.    If you document -list=help, the others should
still be allowed to work.

Agreed.  No reason to 'ever' not support it. Just do not advertise.

-list=help:method-names
-list=help:other-specialized-listing
