Actually I wrote it just to see the auto-detect order but it is also a 
plain format list that needs less magic for parsing. Maybe I'm wrong, 
maybe we could have the details in there.

That's why I'd like to commit it (with the presumtion it *will* be 
modified later). If I just look at it or play with it in an experimental 
branch, it will most likely be just a short once, and you'll have less 
chance to get comments.

Agreed. We'll have to settle for something, or live with what we happen 
to use at release time.
