Your proposition looks perfectly simple/usable to me. It is backward
compatible and provides the features I should have implemented from the
first time.

I suppose the main problem with the markov mode is that it must be run
with a script to be actually usable. Would that make sense to include
one with jumbo ? If so I can write one.
