I would prefer [Options:OpenCL], and [Options:markov] or
[Options:Markov] for MkvLvl and MkvMaxLen.

Even [Options] might be renamed to [Options:General].

If no [Options:General] section exists, john could fall back to look for
the [Options] section.
Markov mode could also check the [Options] section, if no
[Options:markov] section exists.
