Excellent. I posted this as a normal patch,
john-1.7.9-jumbo-5-NT-performance-02.diff.

I will no longer produce incremental patches. I will give this git repo 
experiment a chance instead and see where it leads. From now on, I will 
not post either form of patches to the wiki, but just announce git 
patches (of some importance) to this list.
