Jim, magnum -

I am excluding the hunk that modifies dummy.c when I apply
0018-j7-crc32_format_update.diff to my tree for -jumbo-8.

I think that testing the empty string is desirable there.  If we want to
test on more realistic lengths overall, we can add a longer than usual
password as a separate entry to keep the average length as desired.

Also, I am unhappy about spurious benchmark result changes that any such
change to tests[] would cause.
