Subject: Re: John Test Suite 1.06

Magnum has informed me, that the test suite as posted, was using some local path information from my setup, and would not work properly from doing a 'make test' without editing the files. I have fixed this, and will be posting a v1.06a. If anyone has downloaded the v1.06, simply scrap that one, and get the v1.06 which will be uploaded hopefully by the time this email arrives (I am runing test make right now).

Jim.

Subject: [john-dev] John Test Suite 1.06

The test suite v1.06 has been released on the wiki.

This enhancement adds 30+ input test files. These are for testing the new code pages. Note CP866 is not added 'yet', but soon will be, so for now, simply 'ignore' the errors stating john cannot run those tests.

This is a full 'tarball'. It can overlay the prior 1.03. (or any of the 1.04 or 1.05 updates). Usually the test suite is located in a 'sibling' subdirectory to the run and src directory of john. If placed into a ./test directory, then the makefile has rules to run the test suite, right from a make command.
