Subject: [openwall-announce] Passwords^12 slides

Hi,

Our Passwords^12 presentation slides are now available online. These
are Simon Marechal's (aka Bartavelle) "Distributable probabilistic
candidate password generators":

http://www.openwall.com/presentations/Passwords12-Probabilistic-Models/

and "Automatic wordlists mangling rules generation":

http://www.openwall.com/presentations/Passwords12-Mangling-Rules-Generation/

as well as a new revision of "Password security: past, present, future",
now co-authored by me and Simon:

http://www.openwall.com/presentations/Passwords12-The-Future-Of-Hashing/

Did you know there was "The Second Official UNIX PASSWORD CRACKER
CONTEST" in January 1983 (almost 30 years ago)? Simon found this gem:

Archive with these and other speakers' slides from Passwords^12 in PDFs:

Passwords^12 conference info:

Thank you, Per - and thanks to all who made Passwords^12 possible.

Alexander
