Solar, right above the 1.8.0-jumbo-1 download links on
http://openwall.com/john/ there are links to "release notes" and
"previous release notes" but they are both outdated.

Also, I believe you are not mentioning the GitHub repo anywhere on that
page. That's for you to decide but I would think some users could
benefit from knowing about it. OTOH it might save us from some of the
young Jedis who post support requests as bug tickets..
