Subject: passwords cracked vs. time

Hi,

FWIW, this recent article has a couple of pretty graphs showing that
about 50% of passwords are cracked almost instantly with John the
Ripper on one CPU core running against leaked raw MD5 hashes, but then
progress slows down a lot (smarter or just different attacks or/and more
computing power may be applied after that point):
