Subject: more info about syntax

With the next version of JTR, can you add more info about syntax (problem N°1 for newbie as I am).
How find quickly the right syntax ?

For example, when I do ./john -test, I get :

Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [SSE2i 12x]... (4xMPI) DONE
Raw:	59877K c/s real, 59877K c/s virtual

how can I guess the right syntax in the hash passfile ???? is it user(tab)hash ??? or user$hash ???? etc...

I will be more clear with

Benchmarking: Raw MD5 [SSE2i 12x]... (4xMPI) DONE
SYNTAX: "user:hash"
Raw:	59877K c/s real, 59877K c/s virtual

md5 hashes is the most simple format, can you imagine for complex hash salted format.

We really need that information displayed in with ./john -test (for all algorythms)

thanks,

W/A/
