John-Users,

I just compiled JtR 1.7.6 with this patch for the windows platform and
uploaded it to the wiki.

See http://openwall.info/wiki/john/custom-builds for further details.

Enjoy

Subject: [john-users] MSCHAPv2 Format

Hi,

I've uploaded a new patch which adds a MSCHAPv2 format:

http://openwall.info/wiki/john/patches
http://www.foofus.net/~jmk/tools/jtr/john-1.7.6-jumbo-5-jmk-mschapv2.diff

I put this together a while back, but must have forgotten to post it.
I've updated it to John 1.7.6 w/ Jumbo-5 and everything seems to be in
working order. FWIW, I've been using this format during assessments of
PEAP-based wireless networks. Specifically, I run a fake AP which logs
the authentication attempts: http://www.foofus.net/?page_id=115
