Subject: Using JTR

I am using John the Ripper, and if possible could you give me a little insight on the program, I have a pass file called pass.dat. In jtr using the command john pass.dat and it starts lines like

guesses: 0 time: 0:00:00:06 (3) c/s: 76210 trying: dioDA - dumor

and will continue these lines as long as I am pressing the enter key.

Never using this program before, are these the passes in this file, I don't recognize these (this is my file from my webserver so I can learn how to use the program first).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Robert
